Heisenberg Professorship
Since 1st of March, 2026, Prof. Dr. Katrin Kierdorf, Institute for Infection Prevention and Control, Medical Center – University of Freiburg, is Professor for Infection Resistance.
As an outstanding researcher, her project “Delineating macrophage network patterning: Implications for tissue homeostasis and immunity” is supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG) Heisenberg Programme.
